Why This News Story Vanished from Microsoft?

Microsoft can softly and swiftly remove facts, the ones not in line with their political agenda. As an example of this, try searching for the news from last year about CIA and Mike Pompeo spying on journalists.

Last year, a group of American journalists and civil rights advocates sued the CIA and its former Director Mike Pompeo for spying on them when they visited to meet Wikileaks founder Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, UK, in 2017-2018. The news made headlines but for msn.com, it wasn’t a kosher journalistic dish. So the news has been removed from msn news.

Searching for “Spying on journalists Pompeo” or similar terms does show the msn news in results. The news story was posted on August 15, 2022 and was titled “CIA, Mike Pompeo Sued for Alleged Surveillance of Lawyers, Journalists, and Others Who Visited Julian Assange in Ecuadorian Embassy.” The name Marisa Sarnoff appears next to the story title in the search results.

But what happens when you click on the link to the story. It takes you to the msn page where you see this:

What caused the story to be removed entirely? No explanation. Just the message that the page no longer exists. It’s worth mentioning that CIA spying on Assange has been suppressed in the news and literally no follow-up story was done in media until recently when one independent journalist provided an update on the case.

Microsoft is known to be a leftist group with a clear leftist agenda. Microsoft itself has been accused of spying and reportedly even banned in Germany for some of its programs over privacy concerns.

No wonder then to see some news about spying on a publisher disappear from Microsoft’s pages. It’s essentially censorship not readily visible – pun intended.
